Travel Notes: Bali

Over the holiday week, I was lucky enough to vacation in Bali! We spent nine days exploring Ubud, Canggu and an area right outside Jimbaran. One of my favorite things about this trip was how easy it was to eat healthy while also enjoying such good food.

While definitely the most crowded, Ubud was also my favorite. The culture in the town is incredible and I’m so glad we got to visit the rice terraces, a woodworking village, sacred water temple and much more. We absolutely loved our hotel here, Adiwana Resort Jembawan. It was centrally located enough to walk everywhere in town, the staff was incredibly friendly and the pool area was calm and relaxing. The breakfast and room service is from Herb Library, which was a restaurant wee had wanted to try so that worked out well because everything was delicious.

Canggu is quite different, being a surfing town. While here, we went to a few beach clubs (La Brisa and Potato Head), dined at The Slow and explored Seminyak as well. Nude became our favorite for morning coffees and smoothie bowls while here.

Unfortunately, I got a terrible stomach bug on the day we went to our last hotel so I can’t say much for the town of Jimbaran as I couldn’t do much more than lay for an entire day. However, Dreamland Beach was small but beautiful and definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
